Does Quarters move money?

No. Cash and GCash happen the way they do now, and you record the payment against the bill with its reference. There is no gateway and nothing is charged.

How is electricity split in a shared room?

The room's meter is read once a month. Units times the rate, divided by the people in the room that month. The bill shows the reading, the units, the rate and the divisor, so there is nothing to argue about.

What if I typed a wrong reading?

Before you issue the month, enter it again and the new reading takes over. The old one stays as the record. Correcting a bill after it is issued is on the roadmap.

Does it work without signal?

Yes. Readings queue on the phone and send once each when the signal returns. The indicator shows how many are waiting.

Do boarders need to sign up?

No. You send a link, they set a password, and their balance is the first screen. The link opens once and dies after fourteen days.

What does it cost?

Nothing for now. Quarters is free while it earns its first testimonial, and it will say so before that changes.
